Come and find out the finer points of gentle yoga basics. Taught at Asheville Yoga Center, this class will cover basic asanas (poses), breath techniques (pranayama), with a little fun and humor to boot! Come on over and join me for a gentle hour of blissful yoga. Great for anyone who is stressed out or those looking for a class easy on the body. Level 1/2 Flow -- 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Mondays. This class is for the beginner/intermediate student who is looking to challenge themselves with flowing from pose to pose and more advanced standing poses. More advanced pranayama practices will be introduced, and yogic philosophy will be seamlessly incorporated into class. Black Mountain Yoga. Drop-In Class Fee is $13.
Yoga for Everyone! -- 5:30 p.m. to 6:50 p.m., Wednesdays. This class is great for everyone, just like the title says. We will work on strengthening the body, mind and spirit through the step-by-step process of learning flowing poses together, breath work and introducing new and challenging poses every week. We will also incorporate advanced relaxation techniques from the traditions of restorative or yin yoga. Black Mountain Yoga. Drop-In Class Fee is $13.
